Retirement Conference Presentation 2018

Thankful to have had the chance to present at the Health and Retirement Conference 2018 organized by Singapore Actuarial Society.

This is my first presentation to an audience that is not made up of financial planners. The conference was an eye opener as the presenters shared insights of how technology is or going to help in providing insights and information to help with the underwriting, sales and servicing aspects of the industry. In addition, CareShield and other possibilities on retirement were also shared by keynote speakers and experts in the field.

I was the only practitioner sharing on the aspect of retirement considerations and what may be the potential gap missing in the market right now as clients are planning for retirement.

The idea of using a reverse mortgage was discussed at the conference. Hopefully it can become a viable option for retirement funding in the future.
